Mohammed Mobarek Al Sulaiti’s SHAHEEN LEMBARK and Alsraiya Stud’s D JAZAH were adjudged Champion Stallion and Mare respectively on the third and final day of the 6th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show for Individual Owners at the Al Shaqab Indoor Arena on Sunday.
Shaheen Lembark, who had topped Class 10B for 4-6yo Stallions earlier in the day on Sunday, impressed the judges enough for a victory ahead of Nasser Mohammed Mesfer Al Hajri’s GAZWAN AL NASSER, the gold winner in the last year’s edition of the show.
Gazwan Al Nasser, who had also won bronze in the Qatar International Arabian Horse Show in February 2018, had topped Class 12 for 11yo and older Stallions for his spot in the championship round.
Al Sraiya Stud’s AMAAR AL NASSER, winner of Class 10A for 4-6yo Stallions, completed the top three.
Al Sraiya Stud had a winner in D Jazah, winner of Class 7B for 4-6yo Mares on Saturday, besides picking up another bronze with SEFORA, Class 9 winner, in the mares championship.
Al Reeh Stud’s AG DI GIADA was awarded silver for the senior mares competition. Al Reeh Stud also had a bronze winner in the Junior Colts Championship, with AMIR AL REEH finishing behind Hamad Ibrahim Al Karani’s gold winner GHAZI AL NASSER, and silver winner JALMOOD UMM ALUDHAM, owned by Nasser Mohammed Mesfer Al Hajri.
MAGNA MS, owned by Assayel Al Uwaynah Stud, topped the championship round for the Junior Fillies, beating silver-winner BELLA ROMANTICA GA of Yousuf Mubarak Yousuf Al Kuwari, while Al Asayel Stud’s FATTAM AL NASSER made it to the top three.
The sixth edition of the competition was held over three days and saw participation of as many as 126 horses for the honours. The three day competition ran over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
