Qatar Racing’s Chemical Charge came with a blistering late run to win the September Stakes (Gr3), at Kempton, England on Saturday, 9 September. The 5-year-old horse trained by Ralph Beckett was a good third in the Hardwicke Stakes (Gr2) at Royal Ascot this year and he deserves a first Group success. Scarlet Dragon came second while Wild Hacked was third.

Ralph Beckett said: "He got there in the end. The horse got him (Murphy) out of jail, but at the same time he doesn't want to get there too soon, either. He will go to Woodbine now for the Canadian International and that was the plan if he won today. You can't always guarantee a strong pace there, but Woodbine will suit him well."
